Global warming is an often mentioned term nowadays. It means the increase of the average temperature of the Earth due to the greenhouse gas concentrations. Some scientists and people deny the being of the global warming even though we can feel its devastating effects all over the world. Our weather changes every day and we have to bear this exaggerated climate. One day we feel the pleasant zephyr of spring, the other day the it's snowing like in winter. Almost 43 degree in June, or -20 degree in January was unimaginable a few years ago. It's a question whether humans are responsible for global warming.
Unfortunately, we can't turn back the process but decelerate it.
Earth hour is an international event which asks households to turn off their lights for one hour on 29 March at 8 pm. It may help to promote electricity conservation and lower carbon emissions. Earth Hour 2007 was a symbolic event in Sydney but this year several country and city decided to make it happen in their countries and cities. Earth Hour 2007 brought together families, schools, restaurants, stars. 2,100 corporation and 2,2 million people joined to this symbolic event.
Please join to those people who turn off the lights and help to save our planet. It's just a little thing but maybe it's the beginning to stop global warming.

I can agree with you that there is need to do something against the global upwarming. Although the Earth Hour is a bit step towards it, I hope this event will be successful even if it's not enough on its own.
People who can do something against the global warming are not intrested in that case. They don't look forward, all that counts is making more and more money to the final point 'till it's possible. Sad... It is true that we have to do something, and everything starts with a little step... so hope for the best.
Maybe this small step is not enough, but a good opportunity to pay attention for everybody, and make people thought about these problems.
It is nice to hear that all around the world people are starting to realise the error of their ways and are trying to do something against global warming. But until the multinational companies think the same way there will be no significant change I'm afraid. Go "Earth Hour"!
